"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life." 2 Corinthians 2:14 Aroma of Christ is a ministry offering hope and encouragement to those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and related conditions such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, allergies, asthma, multiple sclerosis, lupus, ADHD and Gulf War Syndrome. A few aspects of this ministry include the following: - We provide a Fragrance Free Zone on Sunday mornings at the 11:00 am service for people to worship in a fragrance free environment.
- We host an international Internet prayer and encouragement group for those who are unable to attend church due to their illness, and for those who wish to connect with other believers.
- We host various fragrance free events such as concerts and fellowship times.
- We host a Web site that contains spiritual encouragement and various resources regarding chemical sensitivity: Click here for more information.
We welcome all who can join with us in anyway they can - Sunday mornings, special events, over the internet. You will truly be blessed and uplifted! Here is a special note from our senior pastor to the chemically sensitive: Beloved of the Lord, When Jesus promised to never leave or forsake us, He was issuing an assurance of His presence intended to comfort every heart that has ever felt alone. We consider it an honor at Calvary Chapel Eastside to have those who have been unable to enter into public worship because of chemical sensitivity meet in a safe room off the main sanctuary. Though you may not live close enough to assemble together with the saints here in this way, I'd like to invite you to link up with us through the Aroma of Christ Ministry and through our website. Here you can get to know this family of believers & friends better, hear the Word of God taught, and communicate your prayer requests. Most of all, I just want to remind you that you are loved in heaven and on earth. May Hagar's discovery be yours, for truly He is "the Living One who sees" (Genesis 16:13). In His unfailing love, Pastor Robert Case |
