Dearest Flock -

For those who would like to get the most out of this week's worship service, I suggest carefully reading the prescribed passage and prayerfully chewing on the following questions:

"Jesus Heals" - John 4:43-5:9

 1. When Jesus rebukes the royal official (and Jews in general) in v.

    48 for having his faith tied to signs and wonders, what do you

    suppose is the greater foundation for faith He is looking for?

    Matt 4:4; Lk 16:31

 2. List all the differences between the healing of the royal

    official's son and the paralytic man in our text that thwart any­­­

    attempt to put God in a box. (Hint: status, indirect vs direct,

    gradual vs immediate, etc.)

 3. List 3 ways faith in action has opened the door for God's healing

    in your life and 3 areas where a miracle is presently needed (i.e.

    relationships, hurtful habits, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual)
