For those who would like to get the most out of this week's worship service, I suggest carefully reading the prescribed passage and prayerfully chewing on the following questions:

"Finding Rest for Our Souls" - John 1:35-51

  1. What do you think convinced Andrew (v. 41) that Jesus was the
     Messiah?  Lk 24:32; Jn 7:45-46; Mk 1:22
  2. V. 51 hearkens back to Jacob's dream at Bethel.  In which way are
     Nathanael and Jacob opposites and in which way do they make the
     same discovery?  Gen 28
  3. List 3 specific examples in which the knowledge of God's nearness
     and support has contributed to your sense of well-being?
