Our purpose at Calvary Chapel Eastside is to glorify God by pointing people to Jesus Christ, who alone is sufficient for our every need. Our greatest desire is to help people know Christ and fully receive His love. In response to His love, we as a church have three goals.

Robert Case graduated from the University of Washington in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art. During and after Robert's college years he was immersed in the music scene playing in nightclubs throughout the Western United States and Canada.

History of Calvary Chapel PDF Print E-mail

Calvary Chapel began in the late 1960's in one small, non-denominational church. Pastor Chuck Smith, who had spent 17 years in churches throughout California and Arizona, became the pastor of a church in Costa Mesa, California which called itself Calvary Chapel. Through his many years of pastoring, pastor Chuck became convinced that a new approach to ministry was needed.
